The following section is dedicated to day-to-day management practices. Here you'll find tips and information about attendance, home contacts, translation needs, write-ups, ordering supplies, and technology assistance. There can be more added to this page based on user need.
Attendance-
-Students have a maximum eight absences allowed during a semester. As long as 4 of those 8 absences are 1A (Illness or Injury), the student can complete make-up time to pass the course.
-Students can only have four 2A absences (Unexcused) to be able to pass a course- any more than four 2A absences and the student will have to go through the waiver process (detailed on the Forms and Protocols page)
-If a student has 1B-1N, these are excused absences and are not to count towards the Total Absences for a class
-To access a student's attendance record in PowerSchool, click the backpack icon on the homepage of PowerSchool, choose a student, then click "Meeting Attendance" in the dropdown menu.
Calling Home-
-Make a call home after a student receives 3 tardies, then again at 6 tardies and the write-up
-Make sure that you call home if a student has repeated behavioral infractions- write-ups will not be honored for some offenses unless the teacher has called home first
-Call home after 3 consecutive absences if the parent/guardian has not made contact first
